65th Anniversary celebration

To All Members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. George, Lachine, Quebec

All parish members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lachine are advised to purchase their banquet tickets by Easter Sunday, April 25th. Only members of our Parish will receive priority to secure a seat at the banquet up until this date. After Monday, April 25th, tickets will be made available to the public. Please remember that seating capacity is for 120 persons. Therefore, a seat at the banquet in the church auditorium will not be ensured for any member of our parish after April 25th. Tickets will be sold quickly due to the extraordinary significance of this event. His Eminence, Yurij, is coming home to Lachine for the first time as a Metropolitan and Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada. He was born, christened and raised in Lachine. The fond recollections of his youth at St. George’s Parish have never left him. The Metropolitan’s visit to his original home, St. George’s Parish, will be most meaningful and historic. The Ukrainian Orthodox Parish of St. George in Lachine will be celebrating the 65^th Anniversary of its founding.

This historic event, will be officiated by His Eminence, Metropolitan Yurij, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, as his first official visit to Quebec since his enthronement as Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada.
